Ben is originally from Rockville, MD. He did his undergraduate work at Eastern University and earned his Master’s in Physical Therapy from Drexel University in Philadelphia. After graduation, Ben treated patients at an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy center where he received further training on manual therapy techniques and performance training.

Gene Harrison, PT
Physical Therapist
A graduate of the Citadel & then later the MUSC, Gene has had training in a wide area of physical therapy to include aquatics, orthopedics, and manual techniques. Gene is a native of the Greenville community and loves exploring the trails of Jones Gap with his two labs.

Paul Hecker, PT, MSPT, OCS
Physical Therapist
Paul was born and raised in Columbia, SC. Paul earned his undergraduate degree here in Greenville from Furman University in1994. He then traveled back to Columbia for 3 years for his post graduate training in biomechanics at University of South Carolina. He then headed south to the University of Mobile where he received his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 1998. Since then he has had extensive training in manual therapy techniques from various schools of thought and performance training with Body Balance for Performance.

R. Kent Kurfman, PT, DPT, OCS, MTC
Physical Therapist
Kent graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri in 1989 with both Bachelor’s and Master of Science degrees in Physical Therapy. He completed a post-professional Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2004. Kent earned a manual therapy certification from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 1999. Kent is a board-certified orthopaedic clinical specialist (OCS) with the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He has an extensive background of clinical experience and continuing education in manual therapy and orthopedics.

Rachael Lange, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Rachael grew up in San Jose, California. In 2005, she received her Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. While at Cal Poly, she ran NCAA cross country and track. She attended New York Medical College from 2006-2009 where she received her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. Upon graduation, Rachael and her fiancé, Matt, moved down to Greenville to be closer to his family. Rachael and Matt are now married and enjoying their new life together. She plans to participate in continuing education focused on the spine, orthotics, and women’s health.

Hollie M. McCulley, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Mrs. Hollie M. McCulley received her Bachelors degree in Sports Medicine with a focus in Athletic Training from Eastern Kentucky University. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Oakland University in Rochester Hills, MI. Since completing her education, she has been active in the outpatient orthopedic setting working with a variety of diagnoses including knees, spine, shoulder, ankle/foot, and hip. She also spent time doing athletic training with the local high schools covering night and weekend events for a variety of sports. Most recently Hollie spent the last year working in a spine clinic solely focusing on progressive strengthening for the spine using resistance and functional training along with manual therapy to treat a vast array of spinal disorders. Hollie moved to South Carolina from Michigan in January 2008 to be closer to family and to get away from those cold Michigan winters. She is enjoying being in South Carolina where the weather allows her to spend more time outdoors with her husband and chocolate lab!

Ben received his undergraduate education at Newberry College and earned his Masters from the Medical University of South Carolina. He has been working in the outpatient orthopedic setting since graduation and received further education in the field of manual therapy. Ben is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University.

Crystal Marshall, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant
Originally from Batesburg-Leesville, SC, Crystal received her degree from Midlands Technical College in West Columbia. She has worked at other outpatient clinics after graduation and has taken additional courses, since receiving her license, which focused on specific soft tissue mobilization techniques called The Graston Technique®. She looks forward to further her knowledge of manual therapy, here in the Upstate.

Ashley Topper-Lollis, LMT
Licensed Massage Therapist
Ashley joins us from Honea Path, SC. She attended Greenville Technical College where she graduated with Honors in Massage Therapy. Ashley is trained in performing Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, pre-natal, and sports massage. She plans to participate in continuing education focused on rehabilitative massage.

Margie Smith
Public Relations Coordinator
Margie received her Bachelor’s Degree from Lander University in Business with an Emphasis in Healthcare Management. Margie is originally from Spartanburg, SC. She enjoys staying active and being with her family and friends. Margie is our Public Relations Coordinator. She is eager to help anyone with questions about the facility. Margie enjoys meeting and helping everyone that our facility serves!!!

Katie Anderson
Patient Services
Katie is also originally from this area and just recently started working in the front office as our patient coordinator. She will help you schedule your appointments, work with your insurance companies, and answer your phone calls in order to make your time with us as smooth as possible. Katie says she enjoys her job because we work as a “team” with great hopes of helping each patient that comes in our door.

Kelly is originally from Jacksonville, FL and recently graduated from USC Upstate with a Bachelor of Arts in Nonprofit Administration. She enjoys running, cycling, and spending time with her family and friends. She also loves talking to new people and is enjoying getting to know all the patients as the new addition to Patient Services at the Grove Rd. office.

Lacy Bridgers

Lacy recently graduated from Tri-County Technical College. She keeps the Anderson Office running. Lacy has lived in the Anderson area for the past ten years. She enjoys meeting new people and is very excited to get to know all the patients.

Sally Kate Patterson
Patient Services
Sally Kate joins us from Clinton, South Carolina. After high school, she attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, home of the Blue Hose! She majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Management, as well as participated in extra-curricular activities, such as cheerleading and choir. While at PC, she was taught the school’s motto, Dum Vivimus Servimus: “While we live, we serve”. Since joining our staff, she’s doing just that as the Front Desk Lead.

Brittany Walker
Patient Services
Brittany is originally from North Carolina. She moved to Anderson in high school. Brittany currently attends Greenville Technical College and is pursing her Associates degree as a physical therapy assistant. Brittany is very active and loves to play basketball and softball in her free time between work and school. She enjoys working at Elite for the practical knowledge she gains towards her degree, but more importantly for the interaction and relationships with the patients.
